Dream Mechanics is an 8 minute acousmatic composition that was used in a 16 channel diffusion performance. The composition relies heavily on field recordings and creative processing to convey narrative, mood and place, contorting these elements to communicate the shifting mutability of a dream landscape.

Marking the demise and planned regeneration of the Eastman Dental Hospital and Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, for UCLH Arts & Heritage, this project explores the narratives of former patients and staff, using sound to explore memories and place. Field recordings taken in the locations were applied, warped and combined with compositional elements to bring out the musicality and tension of both the personal narratives and the architecture. Participants were guided around the building with headphones on, hearing the space come to life with the narratives of the former employees and patients. The work was further showcased at the international oral history conference.
