Dream Mechanics is an 8 minute acousmatic composition that was used in a 16 channel diffusion performance. The composition relies heavily on field recordings and creative processing to convey narrative, mood and place, contorting these elements to communicate the shifting mutability of a dream landscape.
Inertia Instruments
Eight kinetic sound objects that play themselves and together. Tuned to complimentary tuning systems, harmonic and timbral relationships that correspond musically, slowly detuning over time when left unattended.
Also used in conjunction with improv/performance.
Materials: Wood, Mild Steel, DC Motors, Aluminium, Found objects.
